Ieri sera, 3 aprile, si sono tenuti i Grammy Awards 2022, in diretta dalla MGM Grand Garden Arena di Las Vegas, che è tornata in grande stile tra premi, esibizioni spettacolari e red carpet.
Jon Batiste è stato il protagonista della serata con le sue cinque statuette, su undici nomination, per i premi Best American Roots Performance, Best American Roots Song, Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, Best Music Video e la più ambita Album of the Year.

Grande successo anche per i Silk Sonic, il duo formato da Bruno Mars e Anderson .Paak, che si è aggiudicato quattro dei premi più prestigiosi della serata con il brano “Leave the Door Open”, ovvero Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance e Best R&B Song.

Olivia Rodrigo è stata una delle protagoniste della serata, confermandosi una delle artiste più talentuose, con i premi Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance e Best Pop Vocal Album. Premi prestigiosi anche per Lady Gaga, che ha trionfato nella categoria Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album con “Love for Sale” con Tony Bennett.

I Foo Fighters hanno spopolato nelle categorie dedicate al rock con tre vittorie, mentre Doja Cat e SZA hanno avuto la meglio con il duetto “Kiss Me More” nella categoria Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Durante la cerimonia c’è stato anche un intervento di Volodymyr Zelensky, il presidente dell’Ucraina, con un videomessaggio inneggiante alla pace: “Riempite il silenzio con la vostra musica. Riempitela oggi, raccontate la nostra storia. Sosteneteci in tutti i modi che potete. In qualsiasi modo, ma non il silenzio. E allora la pace arriverà”.
